Peter the Great last love

In May TV channel "Russia" plans to present to attention of the spectators a new historical miniserial «Peter the Great. The will» director Vladimir Bortko. As appears from the name, speech in it will go about last years lives of the Russian emperor and the events which have followed his death. In interpretation of writer Daniel Granin (under whose book the television movie also has been removed) at mature age Peter the Great has approached with the young daughter of the Moldavian mister Maria Kantemir who has become pregnant from it. Because of "interesting" position of the woman the serious intrigue was at court played, its purpose was not to admit ascent on a throne of the mistress of Peter the Great. But the serial is devoted not so much race for power, how many a love story of the unhappy and lonely emperor-reformer and the young Moldavian.
