Continuing the musical film directed by Karen Shakhnazarov "We're from Jazz" (1983) will remove the Ukrainian jazzman Alexander Fokin. The project has been ongoing for several years, but in June, as he assured Fokin, should finally start shooting. They will be attended by Hollywood celebrities - Billy Bob Thornton and Brooke Shields. As well as the legends of world jazz guitarist Al Di Meola, pianist Chick Corea, trumpeter Arturo Sandoval, saxophonist Eric Marienthal, guitarist Buddy Guy, pianist Joe Sample and a few other famous people. The script for the new film was written by Alexander Borodyansky - a permanent co-Shakhnazarov, who made films with him, "Winter Evening in Gagra", "Courier", "Ward No. 6" and, most importantly, "We're from Jazz." According to Fokin, the script is designed for beginners, but parents need to play the star, and people are not just famous, but also music. It was originally planned to use Kevin Spacey and Kim Basinger, but eventually the circumstances are such that the part will be Billy Bob Thornton and Brooke Shields. In the episodes will appear the key actors in the picture Shakhnazarov - Igor Sklar and Alexander Pankratov-Cherny. The total budget of the film Fokin estimated at 10 million dollars, "considering the friendly relations with many artists." Filming will take place in Chicago and in Kiev.
