The producer of «Star wars» plans production of the new film of Sergey Loznitsa

The American producer Ric Makkallum (the trilogy prequel «Star wars») during the performance at conference «Film business: features, prospects, possibilities», passed on September 12 within KIEV MEDIA WEEK, declared that intends to shoot in Ukraine the large-scale historical film. Makkallum is going to be a producer of the expensive adventure drama which action occurs during the Second World War. The main character — the Jewish female who managed to survive during mass executions in Woman's Jara. The author of idea of the project — director Sergey Loznitsa, whose films «My happiness» and «In a fog» participated in the competitive program of Cannes Film festival («In a fog» also won prize ФИПРЕССИ of a festival in 2012). At Loznits's this stage finishes work on the scenario, also it will represent itself as the director of a picture. It is planned that the Ukrainian and Russian actors will take part in the film. Ric Makkallum is sure that the history will be interesting to the audience worldwide therefore assumes a picture exit in the international hire and counts on attraction of the state support from Ukraine, and also private investments.
